you can delete your furrowed account at any time. this page tells you exactly how, what gets deleted, and what happens after.
two ways to delete
from inside the app
open furrowed, go to settings → account, and tap delete account. confirm twice. that's it. your account is queued for deletion within a few minutes.
if you don't see the in-app option yet, you're on an older build. use the email path below for now, or update the app.
by email
write to hello@furrowed.app from the email address on your account. one line is enough: "please delete my account." we'll confirm we received it, delete everything, and write back when it's done. it usually takes under three business days.
you don't need to give a reason. if you'd like to tell us why, we read every reply, but it's not required.
what gets deleted
- your account record (email, user id, identity-provider connection)
- every farm entry you ever made: text, voice clips, photos, crop tags, amounts, dates
- every photo file you uploaded
- any "shared" entries you owned
what's kept, and why
we keep a minimal set of records after deletion only where the law requires it:
- billing records, if you ever paid us, retained for as long as tax law requires (typically 6 to 7 years). this is anonymized to a transaction id and amount; it does not contain your farm data.
- abuse and security logs, if your account was involved in a flagged incident, retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention.
everything else is gone, irreversibly, from our active databases. backups roll forward and lose your data within 30 days as they cycle.
what about entries you shared with someone else?
if you marked an entry as "shared" and the person you shared it with saved a copy in their own account, that copy stays with them. we don't reach into other accounts to remove a copy you sent.
can i export first?
yes. before you delete, you can export everything from settings → account → export my data, or by emailing us. we send a json archive of every entry plus a zip of your photos. allow 24 hours for the export to land in your inbox.
changed your mind?
once deletion runs, we can't bring it back. if you reach out within an hour of submitting the request and we haven't run deletion yet, we can usually cancel; after that, you'll need to sign up fresh and start over.
